On Friday, October 3rd around 5pm EDT, we will be opening Shadowfell. This will be our first live test of our new hardware that will be used on all worlds. This test server will be a copy of the Frostfell database, but will be open to all players from all worlds.

For this test world we are going to need your help. We want to get as many players as possible on this world as we can to test the limits of this new hardware. In order to accommodate players from other worlds, we will be placing the level up NPC's that were used in the Throne of Destiny testing, in various towns throughout the world. This will allow everyone to level up quickly to participate in all live world events for the weekend.

During this weekend, we will be running several live events. Various members of the team will be in the world throughout the weekend having lots of fun and wreaking havoc to test the limits of the new hardware.

On Friday when this new world is open, it will appear on the standard launcher along with the other live worlds. Just login to this world as you would any other. It's as easy as that!

On Tuesday, September 30th at 7pm Eastern, Turbine and AC Vault are teaming up once again for a Developer's chat. To submit a question, just go to the AC Vault main page and click on the "Submit Question" link under the "Dev Chat" header on the left. You will be bale to join the chat here.

It has been a busy time for Asheron's Call over the last couple of weeks, and the gaming media has taken notice of our very special milestone. It is not every day that a game reaches one hundred content updates, and everyone who has taken part in making this great game is really proud of what has been accomplished. Lets take a look at all of the coverage that our event has received over the last couple of weeks.

Welcome everyone to the new and improved Asheron's Call website! As you may notice we have made the site much easier to navigate and find what you are looking for. We are of course still adding content to the site, so if you notice something missing that was on the old site do not despair, it may return soon. Feedback is always welcome so please let us know what you think of our new look. You can comment over at the official Asheron's Call forums!

There are very few games, as I look at them in retrospect, that have had significant, lasting impact on my life. Thief: The Dark Project was my first experience being fully immersed and scared witless in a video game. Final Fantasy 7 displayed just how much power and emotion a cut scene can have. But for me, one game stands out on its own – as it not only had a profound impact on my grades in college (for the worse, I am sad to say) but I also wouldn’t be here, doing what I do for a living and writing this article, were it not for this one game. I am speaking, of course, about Asheron’s Call – the game that I feel in love with and helped me to become an embodiment of Turbine’s motto (Powered by Our Fans).
